This is a website about Fox Island resident John Ohlson, and the volunteer work he has done in the Fox Island community and the Boy Scouts of America.
A Fox Island property owner since 1979, John started building his dream home on the island as a young 20-something, and spent the next 10 years realizing his dream: Castle Dragonwyck.
With his wife Lise' and children Megan, Richie and Alex, they have made Fox Island their home, and became involved in the community as members of FICRA, and with the Boy Scouts of America.
An Eagle Scout, John has been involved with the Boy Scouts of America for over 14 years, founded Boy Scout Troop 27, Cub Scout Pack 27 and Venture Crew 27. He currently serves on the Executive Board of the Pacific Harbors Council as the Council Activities Chairman.
John retired from his day job with the City of Tacoma IT Department in 2012, after a 30 year career of public service.
He now spends his time running the website design & hosting business, Dragonwyck Web Design LLC, now in its 25th year.
